Add a CommentI really loved this movie! it was light and funny compared to the sequels of this movie. I really loved everything about it. The plot was great, and it wasn't overboard on the romance but just enough for satisfaction, and there was plenty of adventure and humor. I loved it, and recommend it to anyone who loves a good swashbuckling adventure! The third movie was a lot worse than this one! I totally agree that this one is the best!
LOVE THIS MOVE!!!!!!!! Depp played Sparrow amazingly and overall made this movie waaaay funnier!!!! AMAZING
Really love this movie. My favorite character in this movie series is Elizabeth Swan and William Turner, and well, Captin Jack Sparrow. I mean, whats not to love about this movie? This is my favorite move right now!!!!!!!
An epic debut of the swashbuckling series, with enormous production value. And who doesn't like pirates? (Aside from bad teeth, body odor, and parrot poop.) The franchise originated with the Pirates of the Caribbean theme ride attraction, which opened at Disneyland in 1967, the last Disney theme park attraction overseen by Walt himself. This multi-billion dollar franchise now includes a possible fifth film sequel, attractions at four theme parks, toys, video games, etc. etc. Interesting how the 'pirates' in this movie were turned into demons consumed by greed... Writing, directing, visual effects - all top quality. I'm a big fan of Johnny Depp's work. I could think of no one else for Captain Jack Sparrow. (Supposedly he modeled the character after a usually slurring Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones). The talented Geoffrey Rush, a radiant 18 year old Keira Knightley, and boatloads of scallywags make this a really fun and enjoyable movie. A lucrative investment Disney Corporation and Mr. Bruckheimer. Enjoy the profits. FIVE STARS.

certainly not only my favorite JD movie but also my favorite DISNEY movie. You can't beat Jack and his ridiculous action that makes me laugh in every movie, no matter how many times ive seen it. Will's character definitley was an excellent development through the series, and Elizabeth was gorgeous 24/7, but Jack Sparrow is my eternal hero. Long live Jack!
Great movie! :) Could watch it over and over and over... well maybe i'd stop eventually... you know, to eat and sleep, haha. Johnny Depp is amazing
One of Johnny's best movies ever and performances for the series of Pirates of the Caribbean. Awesome plot line about curses, pirates and tangled romances. Oh yeah and don't forget about conniving and mischievous pirates like Jack Sparrow
Awesome film!!! It is waay better than the other ones. Definitely a 5 star!
