It houses the world's largest museum complex with more than 136 million items in its collections. These range from the plane Amelia Earhart flew on her non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic and Al Capone's rap sheet and mug shot to Dorothy's ruby slippers. From Fonzie's leather jacket to Archie Bunker's lounge chair. After stealing a security guard's ID badge, Larry Daley slips into the Archives of the Smithsonian, where Kahmunrah, an evil Pharaoh, comes to life with the reestablishing of The Tablet as a magical force in the museum. It brings the old exhibits and new exhibits to life, and in conflict with each other. Larry enlists the help of Amelia Earheart.

ANYWAY, I thoroughly LOVED this movie! I do think they added too much flirting and pointless kissing...and the end, I didn't get WHY Larry was interested in that lady that looked like Amelia Earheart! For Pete's sake, she was a wax figure! Hah. But overall, it's a good movie. :)
hmmhmm
I am Lord AKahmunrah. And I have I a AWESOME movie!
I think after seeing the first film, the novelty of the museum exhibits that come to life wears off. Hence why I couldn't finish this sequel and found Ben Stiller intolerable. Historical inaccuracies made me squirm and the comedy was very overdone.
Fair - Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009) 105 min. Ben Stiller returns as Larry Daley, whose moved on to bigger and better things only to be drawn back to the Smithsonian for another nocturnal adventure as all the exhibits come to life. I wasn’t too fond of the first picture released in 2006 and this one doesn’t fair any better. I find these films rather silly and void of any credibility (I know, it’s a fantasy but even fantasy must be grounded in some sort of reality to be appreciated). Example, why is the T-Rex made to act like a dog with wagging tale?!? And how do 3-inch miniature compete in battle with normal-sized humans?!? And why is there only 1 security guard on duty keeping an eye on such treasures as Archie Bunker’s chair?!? Despite the hokey story-line, Amy Adams does a wonderful job as Amelia Earhart. This is strictly for the kiddies.
THis movie was awesome! Extremely funny, adventurous, and historical, this movie made even history exciting! ^-^
