Must See - Hurt Locker, The (2009) 131 min. Worth-while character study of a soldier, whose sole purpose in the Iraqi War is to disarm bombs (car bombs, suicide bombs, etc.). The depiction of Iraq’s war zones left me in awe at how terrible living conditions are for everyone involved. I felt on edge for a better part of the film, which is exactly what the director intended. The film also revolves around the theme of addiction – in this case, the excitement of living on the edge of death and how that addiction paralyzes an individual from enjoying real life.
