This is a classic adventure tale, told in a classic way. The writing is superb, and the plot is thrilling. I can't believe I never read this as a kid!
I absoultley LOVED this book!!! Ever since I was a Pirates of the Caribbean fan to the heart, beginnning at the age of 5, I was always wondering what the Treasure Island story would compare to my view of pirates. I finally had the chance to read it, and I was memorised by the many cliffhangers and suspense it had, really showing how timeless this old classic is.

"Darrrgh, Jim lad!" What's not to love? The original pirate adventure story! Cap'n Flint, Blind Pew, Jim Hawkins, Squire Trelawny, Captain Smollet, The Hispaniola and that ur-villain, Long John Silver!
Enjoyed this classic. Sometimes a little hard to understand, but worth the read.
This book is mis-categorized into the Oceania heading. Treasure Island took place in the Caribbean, not the South Pacific.
