Each colour is used to show a different aspect of the Muslim people. It focuses on the beauty of their art and culture rather than on specific teachings from their faith. A glossary is included in the back to further elucidate on the terms used.

One of my favourite reads at OPL so far, Golden Domes and Silver Lanterns is a beautifully written and illustrated book about the customs, traditions, celebrations, and colours of Islam. Can't recommend it enough - I loved it.
