Just picked this up to kill some time at night and ended up being a good pick. I enjoyed this movie and would recommend it
All talk and a lot of yelling. Not much action
"Brooklyn's Finest" is as gritty as a bucket of sand. Too sordid for young audiences.
Strong cast brings it on with understated intensity in this harsh and superiour Cop Movie. This is NOT a glamorious Shoot-im-up.
Great movie. Great performance. C+ DVD
A good, gritty violent cop movie. Well acted and the graphic violence was done very well. The ending is perfectly grim and fitting. I was entertained throughout. The cop genre is done well at times and played out at times. This one is done well.
A decent cop drama, but not a great one. Drawn out and a bit predictable, but a good watch if you like your cop drama.
Looks like 4 different movies combined desperately into one movie after 4 directors bankrupted and threw the films in garbage! Tries to depict agonizing empty lives of police officers who are not much better than the low-life criminals they fight against. One senior officer is so empty that after attempting to commit suicide with his empty gun, he suddenly decides to go and ask the only woman in his life, a prostitute, to marry him...and he has to wait for some minutes in the hallway until her customer who is another police officer to finish and live! And even she rejects him!...the most humiliating movie about police.
dvd jacket showed 3 cops + 1 crook, the movie is about 4 cops & the crook in mho. The 4 cops were: 1 retiring old soldier, 1 undercover, 1 trying to provide for his growing family and, 1 more, his buddy. Good plot.
Very dark movie. There are no good guys in the movie.
