Sesshomaru takes Rin to the underworld in a desperate attemtp to get her soul back and return her to the land of the living. Meanwhile, Kagome, Inu Yasha and the gang fight a mysterious demon known as the Flower Prince. But the most important episode comes at the end when Inu Yasha faces off against a crustal demon and Kanna. Naraku has given his mirror minion orders to sacrifice her life to bring Inu Yasha down.

This volume gives readers some significant jumps forward in plot and character. We see how much Sesshomaru has grown since he was first introduced. In addition, we continue to see the fallout of Kikyo's death in the previous volume. Finally, we feel like we are moving towards the end as more and more of Naraku's minions seem to be dropping.

A must for fans of this series.
