Bruce Verchere was a highly respected tax lawyer whose clients included Brian Mulroney, Canada's prime minister; Arthur Hailey, one of the world's best-selling novelists; and the Swiss Bank Corporation, Switzerland's second-largest bank. Lynn Verechere was a computer software entrepreneur whose innovative systems, licensed by IBM, helped revolutionize the management of law offices throughout North America.

After years of the intricate manipulation that was his stock-in-trade, Bruce deployed the family's private trust, myriad bank accounts, and offshore companies to secrete their wealth beyond the reach of the taxman and even of his wife. Then he fell in love. A desperate affair, a dangerous ultimatum, and a deepening morass from which there was only one escape built to a chilling climax whose reverberations are felt to this day.

Blue Trust is a compelling true story of ambition, excess, and revenge. It's an intimate portrait of marriage, and a complex tale of high tragedy, told by one of the most admired chroniclers of our times.

Tax lawyer Bruce Verchere counted Brian Mulroney, Arthur Hailey and the Swiss Bank Corporation among his clients. He was a highly respected Montreal lawyer with a burning love for the good life. Stevie Cameron tells his story with her unusual investigative excellence. A true story that reads like a novel.

Really interesting story about a Tax Lawyer overtaken with greed and position.

The author did an excellent job researching the issues and people around Prime Minister Brian Mulroney's former personal tax lawyer, and presented the material in an objective manner:

The story tells itself.
