This book is perfect if you, like me, don't know the history and background of Greek mythology. The writing is clear, interesting, and supported with both photographs and artwork to reinforce the characters. There is a two-to-three page section for each of the major gods and goddesses, and as you learn about each one, you'll find yourself reading back in the book to fill in any voids. About halfway through the book, there is a family tree, so you can quickly see how the gods were related to each other. A completely enjoyable read.
