I agree with LuvToLearn, this book could have been half as thick and twice as good. It's still a good read ...just get ready to skim over the very numerous, repetitive descriptive passages. Or skip it altogether and go read Dean Koontz's "The City", "Innocence", or "Relentless".
If you're new to Koontz, try the Odd Thomas series...that's what got me hooked on him.

This was the first Koontz book I ever read and I had a blast. The chapters are short and Koontz switches between the pro- and antagonist very nicely. A quick read that will leave you wanting more Koontz. I recommend the Odd Thomas or the "Fear" books about Christopher Snow (wow, what a trip those are.) I like The Face best, but the others are very interesting.

This is a spooky thriller with a supernatural twist. The suspense builds nicely throughout and the conclusion is satisfying. Could have used a bit more editing as I found myself skimming through repetitive descriptions of the rain and storms (all right already, I get that its a dark and stormy night!) but overall it was enjoyable.
