For people who read this and Maximum Ride: I know it's supposed to be the same Max, but is it? For example, is it the same "school" and is the flock in it?

This book was a bit farfetched, but I still couldn't put it down.

Those who like/love this will LOVE Maximum Ride. Same author, same first name (Max), completely different characters and plot. Aimed for younger audiences, so it's more appropriate for every age than this one. (this book is a "adult fiction eng., after all)

P.S., @ terriflt This is made up. I do wonder about your comment, "stuff like this probably does go on in the world". I wonder if they have the technology... Not sure.

I almost didn't read this book because of some of the comments on this site. I got the ebook and started it, however, and couldn't put it down! It was such a good read. It was a bit of a fantastic story but most of it was real life. It made me think a bit of The Hunger Games. I truly enjoyed the book and would recommend it to everyone .Another great novel by my new favorite author! I can't wait to read The Lake House!

I had a strong reaction to this book: one that went from mild annoyance to strong irritation. I couldn't finish it.

I felt that the author dos not value the intelligence of his reader with his cheap, gimmicky writing.

Example: End of chapter: blah..blah, Its a trap!

Next chapter: Actually, it wasn't a trap! (Yay!)

(@ jocasey) No offense, but you obviously haven't read his other books. They are AMAZING!!!! :D He has books for teens, adults, preteens, & his series Maximum Ride is amazing(it's for any age, I suppose)!!!! :3 I want wings sooo badly :(

I read a book about winged kids by James Patterson before and enjoyed it more but this book is still great. The writing style and plot is directed at adult readers but some teen readers would like it.

Unrealistic interesting read--Characters were shallow--plot was exciting.

Totally unbelievable. Don't think we have to worry about people with wings but it does make you think about human engineering.
