"For his whole life, Robert Percy, Viscount Redhill, has worked hard to maintain a sterling reputation. And while it's socially acceptable to seduce delectable dress designer Mrs. Mortimer, Robert learns too late the heartbreaking truth about who she used to be. No one would fault him for taking Mrs. Mortimer as his lover, but Robert knows that she should be the wife of a peer of the realm, not a mistress in hiding..."--Publishers's website.

A fun light read. I found parts of it really annoying - especially the back and forth about her virtue. It's a romance novel, not reality, and the author tried to inject too much reality and an awful lot of objections. Because otherwise if we're hoping to mimic the standards of the times, there's no way his sister would be using her as a modiste. Especially since she's done a lousy job giving the character a bullet proof alternate identity.
