Pete is touring with a band, struggling to understand who he is, where he's been, and what he's become. He vacillates between the highs of being recognized as an international sex symbol and the aching hopelessness he feels when he is alone. After the death of his longtime ex-girlfriend, Pete grieves deeply and soon embarks on a path of self-destruction, including an attempt to take his own life. With profound creativity and clarity, he discloses his darkest fears and reflects on his memorable moments, including his first kiss and his first fistfight.

In 'Gray,' a presumably semi-autobiographical tale, a sensitive but somewhat unstable young man chronicles the ups and downs of balancing a personal life and mental health with the challenges of being a member of an up-and-coming rock band. Scattered unassumingly throughout the text are snippets of real lyrics from the songs of the author's real-life band, Fall Out Boy.

The book is unlikely to win any literary awards, but that presumably wasn't the author's intent. Wentz clearly had these stories, emotions, thoughts inside of him -- a mix of his own and imagined experiences -- and it feels as though he may have pen to paper as a cathartic exercise. The reader is left continuously wondering just how much of this often distressing narrative is based on actual events and which are fantasy.

This book was fantasic! Whether its true or not it really gives you insight into the life of famous musicians and what they go through. I really recommend it, even if you're not a FOB fan.

This is not non fiction, it is a novel-it is fiction.
Please list it correctly, thanks.
