I borrowed this, took a look and decided it was going back right away. Why? I took a close look at the nutritional content of these recipes and realized that while they may be low cal they are VERY high in sodium Most experts agree that amount of sodium should be between 1,500 and (at the very highest) 2,300 mgs maximum per day. Well a lot of her recipes were at least 500 mg or more per portion (usually more). Having a recipe that has close to 1,000 mg in one portion makes these recipes basically useless for anyone wanting an overall healthy meal. For example her No Harm Eggland Parm has 811 mg of sodium per portion, lasagna over 900 mg, chicken dishes with 800 or more mg per portion - you get the idea. BTW the other Skinny Girl recipe books suffer from the same flaw. Keep in mind that most people would actually have more than one portion so these numbers mean much more when you add up the cumulative effect. If you're looking for low cal recipes with reduced sodium do not go here. if you don't care one way or another then it might work for you. Just be aware of the total nutritional value of what you're making, not just the calories.
