With this album, singer-songwriter Tom Petty proved that he could forge ahead with his traditional rock and roll sound into the new millennium. Given the personal turmoil that he was going through at the time, it's wonderful how he wound up creating arguably one of the best rock albums of the 1990s. Tracks such as "Billy the Kid", "Rhino Skin", and "Swingin'" have an understated yet still strong emotional power, and they're certainly worth listening to over and over again.
