75th anniversary of the "best movie ever made". I always thought it was a bit corny and still do, but we watched it again anyway. Maybe because there are so many famous one liners that it has become a cliche. Ingrid Bergman is very beautiful. Here's looking at you, kid.

Casablanca is pretty much a perfect movie. Action, romance, comedy, gambling, violence, betrayal, lust, tough guys, handsome heroes, beautiful women, Nazi goons, weirdos, freaks, sleazebags, amazing music, and never a dull moment. What more could you want? This movie should be on everybody's bucket list.

Greatest movie of all time. Best actors and scripts. Best one liners of all time. It has faith love redemption romance patriotism and salvation. A great movie for valentines day with your soulmate.

I must be the only human in the entire world who doesn't like Casablanca.
Maybe all the parodying like "Play it again, Sam" or "Hill of beans" inappropriately tickles my funny bone. Bogart's his usual tough guy screen persona but his attempt as love-struck old Romeo seems ludicrous to me.

Don't miss the special features, especially the Bugs Bunny cartoon take-off, "Carrotblanca"

One of my favorite movies! Torn between her husband and her great love, Rick, Ingrid Bergman's Ilsa brings the best in both.

This movie is a much watch. Yes it is black and white, and yes it does reflect a very out-dated view of the men and women; still beautiful and with more humour and politics than its portrayal as just a romance would have you believe.

Rick: My health. I came to Casablanca for the waters.
Captain Renault: The waters? What waters? We're in the desert.

Rick: "...Inside of us, we both know you belong with Victor. You're part of his work, the thing that keeps him going. If that plane leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life." Ilsa: "But what about us?" Rick: "We'll always have Paris. We didn't have, we... we lost it until you came to Casablanca. We got it back last night..."

Casablanca: easy to enter, but much harder to leave, especially if your name is on the Nazis' most-wanted list. Atop that list is Czeck Resistance leader Victor Laszlo, whose only hope is Rick Blaine, a cynical American who sticks his neck out for no one...especially Victor's wife Ilsa, the ex-lover who broke his heart. So when Ilsa offers herself in exchange for Laszlo's safe transport out of the country, the bitter Rick must decide what's more important - his own happiness or the countless lives that hang in the balance.
