Decent general overview of the period, but not something I'd use for a history report. The research is laughable. Seeing as 90% of the book's sources come from This Fabulous Century anyway, you'd honestly be better off reading that--it's more entertaining, more balanced, and even has pictures. The overall tone of faint contempt for the era's excesses is both annoying and uncessary. Not worth the time.
