Her second book - interesting. The heroine is basically a shape-shifter, which opens the door to a taste of several life forms, and the challenges of being a stranger in your own skin. She befriends a human, and learns about trusting, and being trusted. And friendship.
Spoiler -
The villain ends up being basically part of her - the bright/dark side split - so her final battle is in a way against her own potential dark side. And - triumph is not complete - room for a sequel.
