A straight-forward narrative about 3 sisters without parents hoping for a family inheritance. As each plans what they will do with the money, they find they are forced to realize the value of family and friends. The characters are simply drawn but realistic with no-one being either good or evil. Not Julie Johnston's best work but still enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this great coming-of-age story by Canadian author Julie Johnson. This is a story about three very different teenage sisters as they struggle with their pasts and figure out their place in the world. The story is not depressing, but thoughtful, sometimes funny, and intriguing. I also loved the small-town Ontario setting.

So predictable and so boring.
