This is the journalist who appeared on the Jon Stewart show in a spoof shot as an American spy, code name "Pistachio" and ended up in Evin prison in Tehran/

Very readable story of this reporter's imprisonment in Iran for spying. History of Iranian experiences with a variety of governments and interference by the Great Satan over oil.

A harrowing tale of imprisonment in Iran in 2009 by the Revolutionary Guard. There is a fair amount of history on Iran and gives some insight on the struggles of the ordinary people who seek freedom. Soon to be a motion picture entitled "Rosewater". The narrative is well done and the violence and despair seems to be toned down from other prison stories that make this an easier read. Worth reading for anyone interested.
