A great book for summer reading. I found it funny, light yet profound. The main character and his friends are portrayed very realistically and the dialogue plays out naturally. The ending is perhaps sweeter than life would allow but I enjoyed it. My favourite part is when M. Tranchmontagne decides to make it up to his ex-wife, and her reaction. I have to admit French is not my first language so the French speakers might have a different opinion about the novel.
