Nearly forty years have passed since Ruth Hyde Paine, a Quaker housewife in suburban Dallas, offered shelter and assistance to a young man named Lee Harvey Oswald and his Russian wife, Marina. For nine months in 1963, Mrs. Paine was so deeply involved in the Oswalds' lives that she eventually became one of the Warren Com- mission's most important witnesses. Mrs. Paine's Garageis the tragic story of a well-intentioned woman who found Oswald the job that put him six floors above Dealey Plaza--into which, on November 22, he fired a rifle he'd kept hidden inside Mrs. Paine's house. But this is also a tale of survival and resiliency: the story of a devout, open-hearted woman who weathered a whirlwind of investigation, suspicion, and betrayal, and who refused to allow her enmeshment in the calamity of that November to crush her own life. Thomas Mallon gives us a disturbing account of generosity and secrets, of suppressed memories and tragic might-have-beens, of coincidences more eerie than conspiracy theory. His book is unlike any other work that has been published on the murder of President Kennedy.

[Interesting to note that Ruth Hyde Paine was in Nicaragua during the Contra Wars, ostensibly for charitable purposes. At the same time, a major cocaine trafficker named Alan Hyde, was not only smuggling cocaine, the chemicals used at the cocaine-processing plants, but arms to the Contras for the CIA? Can't find any familial connection, but then again I can't find anything to contradict some type of relative? Reminds me that her father, William Avery Hyde, just happened to be in Haiti - - where he first met George deMohrenschildt, coincidentally during CIA ops there?! Then again, there was that CIA asset, Maria Hyde, divorced from Henry Hyde, I believe, a French woman who made contact with Lee Oswald during his time in Russia?! A whole bunch of coincidences, plus the facts below?!?!]
Thomas Mallon, the conservative righwing darling of NPR [now why does a supposedly // liberal \\ network always have so many rightwing darlings ? ?] has written a dreadful book, full of false assertions - - now why couldn't Pulitzer Prize recipient, Harvard grad, nephew of Neal Mallon [hmmmmm. . .] figure the below out, why must I elucidate for him????
DALLAS 1963:
RUTH HYDE PAINE: Rented living space to Lee Oswald's wife and children and would later testify against his memory and reputation to the Warren Commission. Ruth's cousin was married to John Foster Dulles, brother of fired CIA director, Allen Dulles. Ruth's sister was career CIA, and her brother-in-law most likely a CIA agent or asset, working through USAID.
According to HSCA files, it turns out that George de Mohrenschildt {really, Oswald's CIA handler}, knew William Avery Hyde, Ruth's father - - oh coincidences of coincidences - - - - -
Ruth's husband, Michael Paine, worked for the ex-Nazi general, Walter Dornberger, brought to America by Allen Dulles via Operation Paperclip. Michael Paine was related to both the Forbes and Cabot families, and related to Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., ambassador to Vietnam who was about to be fired by President Kennedy for ignoring his peace directives. Michael's mother's best friend, and Michael's unofficial aunt, was the mistress of Allen Dulles [Mary Bancroft].
Michael Paine was also related to McGeorge Bundy, JFK's national security advisor [later the same for LBJ] - - Bundy prepared an NSAM while JFK was inbound to Dallas, completely flipping President Kennedy's earlier NSAM on withdrawal of advisors from Vietnam, later to be signed by President Johnson. Bundy was also the guy who reported to others, such as Lucien Conein, heading up the removal of Diem in Vietnam and President Kennedy, thereby altering and filtering the truth from the president!
A fellow in Texas by name of Neil Mallon [George W. Bush's bro was named for him] founded and ran the Dallas Council on World Affairs, which had some interesting members, including George DeMohrenschildt, and J. Walton Moore, CIA agent stationed in Dallas [and former FBI guy] whose boss was Tracy Barnes, cousin to Allen Dulles!
[Now, we are supposed to believe Mallon is some kind of writer, journalist or researcher, yet cannot unearth any of these facts? Now what's wrong with this picture, and with all reportage today? The logical next question should be, Is Thomas Mallon related to any CIA personnel? Well, there was Patrick Mallon and Neil Mallon and . . . .]
