I am a long time fan of C C but I have to say I agree with imajpm down below.

The opening cat racing scene in this book was a bit long. I put this book down for a few weeks after reading that. Thomas was more mysterious than the average hero. For part of the book I was wondering if he was actually the villain! Meggie was not quite to my taste. She was a bit too nice, chatty, loyal, forgiving.

Overall a decent read even with some problems.

I thought that it was easier than usual to find the culprit.
