A man's body is found in an empty house. His heart has been cut out and delivered to his wife and children. He is the first victim, and Detective Inspector Helen Grace knows he will not be the last. But why would a happily married man be this far from home in the dead of night? The media call it Jack the Ripper in reverse- a serial killer preying on family men who lead hidden double lives. Helen can sense the fury behind the murders. But what she cannot possibly predict is how volatile this killer is - or what is waiting for her at the end of the chase . . . Praise for M. J. Arlidge 'Taut, fast-paced, truly excellent.' Sun 'DI Helen Grace is a genuinely fresh heroine . . . Arlidge weaver together a tapestry that chills to the bone.' Daily Mail 'M. J. Arlidge is the new Jo Nesbo.' Judy Finnigan

I enjoy police procedurals that have a bit of personal life in them. This, however, is stuffed with way too much of the cops' unprofessional doings.

Great sequel to Eeny Meeny - more information comes out on the life of Helen Grace before she became a detective. She is a very complex character and I hope that we find out how she became a member of the police force Can't wait for the next edition to this series due out in the first of the year.
