This book started out pretty slowly, and I wasn't sure it was going to hold my attention. It picked up pretty quickly though, and the use of 2 narrators, with 2 different points of view, kept the story interesting.

Very suspenseful. The story is told by three women in alternating chapters: Melody, who survived a vicious attack; Eve, who's killed while investigating if the man imprisoned for Melody's attack was in fact innocent; and Victoria, the DI whose work helped convict Melody's attacker and who now has Eve's murder to solve. I did figure out whodunit about 2/3 of the way through the book but didn't know how the author would get me there.

narrated by three women: Melody who was attacked by David, her best friend, and left for dead six years ago. She has never been able to reclaim her life; Eve, or her ghost/spirit, who was just recently murdered in a way eerily similar to Melody’s attack. Eve doesn’t understand why she hasn’t moved on. She only knows that there was something she left undone; and DI Victoria Rutter, the police inspector who is being pressured to pin Eve’s murder on David, but is far from convinced of his guilt. Can the three of them solve them mystery before someone else dies? Might be reminiscent of The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Recommended by K.P., Medina Library, MCDL
