Have to admit that this is the weirdest most confusing mystery book I've read. That may be due to fact the I don't know the Thames River, it's nooks and crannies at all.

Another winner from Bolton. Having now read all four books I tnis series, I'm going to miss Lacey Flint, Mark Joesbury and the rest until Bolton gives us the next installation.

Feel the same way. Too many plot threads.

Far too many plot threads muddy the waters of this overly long novel.

In this, the fourth Lacey Flint book, Bolton deviates from her previous fast-paced thriller style mysteries and treats us to a more vulnerable and unsure Lacey, struggling to find her place and seeking solace in the water of the Thames. While the mystery -- focused on a mysteriously shrouded body of a young woman found in the river -- is as complex, detailed, and satisfying as previous entries, the slower pace allows us to learn more about Lacey, the early life she does not speak about, and several characters formerly on the periphery, such as Dana Tulloch. Lacey-Joesbury fans will likewise not be disappointed. An excellent entry in the series, and one that leaves this reader eagerly awaiting the next.
