The most amazing book ever. This book is a keeper, captivating as well as funny each time it is read. The author is a gifted story teller, characters come alive and one walks in the life of the middle ages as if one was living there today. There is everything in this book. It was recommended to me way before I ever got around to reading it but the cover and the description never appealed to me. I think it was because it cannot be categorized or classified and labelled as a romance or a mystery, or a fantasy and when I did get around to reading it I was blown away and immediately read the other two following it.

I read this story quite a while ago. I know I really enjoyed the story. I wish I could remember more about the writing . . . ?
