Voices and Visions is a series of two books which concern themselves with the teaching of ESL in a variety of context.Book One is for "would-be" teachers of ESL and EFL that is meant to provide them not simply with recipes to follow or another review of the major theories in the field, but with a discussion of key issues in the field, major questions they need to consider before and as they enter the field, storiesand experiences from the author's extensive background, and some practical suggestions as they enter the classroom. Each chapter opens with bulleted points outlining what the chapter covers and ends with a list of questions to think about and discuss. A bibliography for further reading, and anappendix of sample lesson plans is also provided.
