Ghost Boy is a story of recovery and the power of love. Through Martin's story we can know what it is like to be here and yet not here - unable to communicate yet feeling and understanding everything. Martin's emergence from his darkness enables us to celebrate the human spirit and is a wake-up call to cherish our own lives.

i have recently started reading Ghost Boy and words are not enough to describe how i feel about reading this book in the bus on my way home ; i feel every step i am making and i see the lights differently. I remember how great it is to be able to walk and speak . these blessing that we have taken for granted. I also like that the writer has been through the situation he is writing about because every word in this book sounds real, painful , or joyful ,depending on the chapter.
