Thanks to well-developed characters and an interesting story-line, I was thoroughly entertained while learning 1st hand how GMO’s have changed the practice of growing food. I love books that make me think as well as entertaining me.

Where have I been, missing out on Ruth Ozeki and she's right here in BC? If you just want a good book to read, she doesn't disappoint. I am a big fan of switching character views, and then the intertwining of them into one narrative - plus learning about relevant issues.

Starts slowly, gains a variety of characters and plots, becomes hard to put down. Read as a preview to Ozeki's visit to Bend. Fascinating. Makes me sorry I voted for GMOs!

It was hard to decide whether the scientific side or the relational side was more interesting. Vast cast of characters.
