After reading 100 things Blue Jays fans should know and do before they die, I was anxious to get my hands on the Maple Leafs edition of this series. Unfortunately, having read numerous biographies of various Leaf personalities and several histories of the team, there were so many great stories that the author completely missed. While there is certainly some great stuff in here, like the tale of the CHUM witch and Brian Glennie sticking a shell in his jock on the night Lanny McDonald scored the series winning goal against the Islanders, there were also a lot of fascinating anecdotes that were never mentioned. Presented in chronological order, the book was published right before the wheels came off the bus, so many of the author's stories about Kessel and Phaneuf are laughable when you read it today. Disappointed to say the least.
