This album was a pretty enjoyable album to listen to. I liked his varied beats throughout this album. I think they keep each song sounding different and interesting. Additionally his beats are sometimes pretty simple and are a good complement to his lyrics since they don’t distract from his complex and sometimes confusing rhymes and imagery. Sometimes his lyrics are a bit much and he sounds like he is just using big words to confuse and trick the listener which I found a bit annoying since I really like his songs where he is clear about what he is thinking. For example I really liked Rings since he is very relatable when he is lamenting losing the skills he worked so hard to get in art school. Overall I liked the beats and Aesop’s lyrics like usual aren’t ever dull but sometimes he is just a bit too confusing for me to get into.

Aesop Rock is an amazing lyricist, and there is no dull moment on this album. Rings and Dorks are especially great tracks. Highly recommend. 9/10
