Normally I enjoy the Maggy Thorsen mysteries. This one, however, with its focus on killer pythons in the Everglades, was over the top for me. I did do some fact-checking, and it is true pythons are a growing problem in Florida, especially the Everglades. But just because it's true doesn't mean it has to be a good story. The characters were more bumbling than usual, the plot was minimal. I just didn't like this book. I hope her next one is better. And I'm really glad I can get these from the library as I would have been annoyed to have paid for this book.
