The first thriller in the Annika Bengtzon series, the plot was shocking and chilling. I really liked the development of Annika's character and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! If you enjoy Scandinavian thrillers, this is definitely one to add to your list.

Another good book in this series. The character, Annika, is showing great strengths as a detective. Interesting and well developed plot. "A" read.

Dreadful. Screams "airport". This is very formulaic and run of the mill; probably its single most annoying feature is the restless edge-of-your-seat atmosphere maintained chiefly by having all the characters constantly competing with each other in a breathless sort of way; definitely aimed at an American audience that does not know or care that Christmas is not so very important in Sweden in comparison to the Festival of Light earlier in December; the writing is turgid; I stopped after 50 pages and will not read any more of her stuff.
