After her boyfriend passed away, Annie decides to finish the marathon he was working towards. But to complete that marathon, Annie has to train. Hard. As she struggles to endure the race in front of her, she finds solace in Jeremiah, one of the trainers. As their friendship starts to deepen, so does their lust. However, Annie isn’t sure she’s ready to start a new relationship so soon. I really enjoyed how the Author expressed Annie’s grief for her loss since I felt that it was genuine and raw. She spent time to mourn but eventually started working to overcome that loss. Her energy and perseverance to complete the marathon will inspire readers. The plot wasn’t too exciting and was a little predictable. But the romance between the characters really made up for that and made reading it worthwhile. Rating:4/5

This book was good, but a very quick read. I liked seeing the connection between characters from other Hundred Oaks books.

Breathe, Annie, Breathe made me realize challenges are always coming. She finds strength in those challenges though.
