Liam Neeson was too old for this role. These films with some outside force making people do things is boring and lacks creativity.

Terrible movie, and I like Liam as an actor. Truly a forgettable experience. Ok, here it is.. He is a insurance salesman on a packed train, he gets a phone call that he has to find a traveler with a bag or all the passengers will die... (Yawn......) Totally cringe worthy. Don't take this train ride..

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT. If Neeson desires to stay on as an action hero, he had better find more believable plots. This is the kind of film that came out every week in the '90's, usually starring Bruce Willis. One scene I enjoyed was toward the end of the film when Neeson had finished decoupling the last train car and had jumped back onto it. If you slow down the film you will see either the scenery going backwards, or Neeson has miraculously appeared at the opposite end of the car he had just landed on and was now going instead of coming. The only other scene I liked was the use of a left-handed Fender Stratocaster as a weapon of opportunity. Neeson puts the guitar's whammy bar to a whole new use, impaling his foe in the neck with it before dispatching him out of the window. I didn't know Neeson played. Anyway, for me, that was the high point of this very tiresome film. Not recommended.

Truly stupid on a whole new level...

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra in 2018, this action-packed thriller depicts a murder conspiracy after a protagonist meets a mysterious woman on his daily train commute.
Since there are so many red herrings, unbelievable twists and impossible action sequences, you definitely need a willing suspension of disbelief.
For example, in such a violent derailment, all the passengers must have been easily killed at once.
Yet nobody seems to have even a scratch.
In any case, however, I enjoyed this engaging and at-the-edge-of-your-seat entertaining thriller by 75%.

This is the typical Liam Neeson film where he plays the Hero. I really enjoyed it. Supporting cast was very good. A lot of the reviewers claim this is just a formula film, same boring stuff from a guy who's 70, too many plot holes, etc., but, for me, just a fun film.

I found this movie pretty boring.

my wife said, " isn't this like the airplane movie he did"? I watched on my laptop and was engrossed. People actually ride for hours to go to work or go home out east. What a crazy life.
Spending 300 plus dollars a month for a train pass?

Kudos for Liam doing movies and trying to be a normal loving husband after his real wife died in a crazy death on a ski slope. A movie to watch once, but pass if your see it while surfing.

Please do tell me, am I the only one sick of seeing Neeson play the One Man Hero? The guy is like seventy years old now still playing the smash 'em up bash 'em up swashbuckling hero... And while were on the subject, "Is Tom Cruise EVER going to die?" I mean com'mon Hollywood. Have you Ever thought of.... Oh, I don't know. Acting.

This was not a great film and even seemed like it was a repeat of Liam Neeson's 2014 Non-Stop, but instead of being an Air Marshal on an airplane, he is facing the same kind of black mail on a train, being a laid-off insurance man.
Seemed like a anti-climatic ending.
