A highly recommended sweet story of male friendship.

I loved this movie! It is based on the true story of a wealthy disabled man and his caregiver. The story unfolds as two very different men come together in their time of need and form a strong friendship.

A feel good romp, this is the Americanized version of the very good French movie "The Intouchables" (both movies are based on the same true story).

Good movie to watch, very entertaining story based on true events...almost identical to the movie "The Intouchables". In fact the other movie might even be better..

I found Kevin Hart fun to watch. I was a little disconcerted that, because Bryan Cranston could only move his head, neck and mouth, the writers found it necessary to keep shoving food into it!! And have it spew out! Bit gross. Bryan did a great job regardless. Wish Nicole Kidman would leave her face alone. The plastic surgery and dental work were very obvious in this film. She's too skinny too. (That kind of thing distracts me.)

Good remake of The Intouchables (inspired by the life of Philippe Pozzo di Borgo and his book A Second Wind) and while there is nothing funny about becoming a quadriplegic, there are some genuinely hilarious moments in this movie. I kept thinking, while watching, that without his vast wealth almost everything in his life that made life bearable would not have been possible; but that doesn't take away from this movie. Good cast that could only have been improved by replacing Nicole Kidman who showed little depth and was based on Laurence Landouc'h.

Very Good. Turned out better than I expected. Did not know it was remake of a foreign French film with subtitles.Could not figure out how Lily first made contact with Phillip, unless it was fan mail????

Philip Lacasse: Have you ever listed to opera?
Dell Scott: Yeah. Opera's really big in prison. You can hardly get a seat on opera night.

Many good quotes in IMDb already, thanks to the contributors. A couple of the gems are:

Funny:
You can have any girl you want. What about this lady with all the Botox? You're perfect for each other. You can't move your body, she can't move her face.

Reality:
It's my legs. It's the nerves. It's called neurogenic pain. It's like being on fire.
-They don't give you nothing for that?
Different medications. It helps a bit. Not enough.
- Hurt enough to make you wanna off yourself?
No. But losing my wife does.
