I was super excited about this book. I wanted to like it more than I did. Unfortunately, by the time the book came out, I had already realized that I really don't like Mikhail and Raven. Up to this point of what I'd read, they were my least favorite couple in the series. I just don't like them, and I just don't care. There were things to like about this book, but I agree with another reviewer that I didn't like the introduction of other bloodlines. I liked the Dark books better when it just focused on the Carpathians, without adding the Jaguar, Dragonseeker, and mage bloodlines. It just felt like Christine Feehan was trying to top what she had done before, but in a very clumsy way, and it just didn't do it for me.

One of my favorite things about this book, though, were the scenes with Dimitri and Skyler. It was nice getting the little bits about them until Christine Feehan wrote their book, Dark Wolf.

Can you imagine, the most powerful of the vampiric Carpathians, Gregori Daratrazanoff as...Santa Claus? I can't. This was one of my favorite books to read...and re-read at Christmastime, as it really gave me the giggles to think of how Gregori must have looked in a Santa Claus suit...and trying to entertain human--as well as Carpathian--children, after his prince...and father-in-law...ordered him to do so. If I'd seen that for real...I'd be running the opposite direction. Good thing his lifemate, Savannah was there...

Absolutely loved the love and compassion Christine brought out in this book. Its like the ideal species--all for one and one for all, including love and interaction with the humans. TOGETHERNESS!!!
I loved hearing about each one of the couples and their updates.

The funniest book in whole series.. I loved Gregori getting punked as santa. Hope there's a follow up book about Skyler.

Absolutely loved this novel! It's so much fun to see how the couples are getting on after the "end" of their stories. I always enjoy "reunion" books. This one also introduces new characters as well as the ones we're familiar with, and such a great story idea! I really like learning something new about familiar characters, and I like seeing them interact with other characters from other novels.

My sweet tooth is clamouring to try all the recipes at the end, too :D

Cute, one mating triggered, though if Gabriel gets his way, Skyler won't have a conjugal visit until she's 30. Loved the recipes. And the chaos of a race that normally doesn't eat solid food trying to make a potluck Christmas dinner. And I loved Gregori as Santa.
