Beautifully written. Takes you into the life of a former child prodigy as he struggles with his own issues brought to the surface by a new prodigious student and by having to sit on a jury for a murder case. Makes you feel every twinge of sadness, flutter of infatuation, unsavory taste of disappointment, and intimate moment of bliss that he goes through. May not be a good read for those who do not like slightly awkward, pensive, introspective lead characters - ie if you prefer a strong, confident and decisive lead character.
