I watched it straight through and then watched it again with the director commentary. It's really slow but through it's artifice it tries to illustrate the mind of Mark David Chapman as well as replay the events.

The actor playing Chapman creates a multi-layered perfomance. He's acting like a person who tries to act normal but the subtle vibe of creepiness seaps out. The viewer knows how disturbed he is but in each interaction between characters, everyone understandably dismisses the creepy vibe, thinking the character is just odd.

I enjoyed this film infinetley more than the over-the-top performances and style of "Chapter 27" which covered the same subjec. I also found this film more informative.
