Whimsical, funny, erudite, not overly chronological, interspersed with the life of Hitler whose actions obviously left a big impact on the author's life. At times it felt more like a ride than a story! It was refreshing knowing it wasn't written by a ghost writer as it clearly showcased the voice of the actor I have heard many times speaking about himself on shows. Hard to pin down on details but captures the essence of this wonderfully clever and witty man.

This is a fun and fantastic read. Peter O'Toole is as engaging on the page as he is on screen. He intertwines the story of his own childhood with that of Adolf Hitler in a very interesting combination.
