An interesting story about nephilim and the genealogy of angels on earth. The reading is smooth and captivating, but the author will move away from the main timeline to give insight from past characters perspectives.

This book is both interesting and terrible. Unfortunately the terrible part wins out in the end, mostly for so many plot holes and the third act which was something that dan brown would dream up and an awful conclusion.

Another downside is that the book is really long, and the writing is too elaborate in lots of places. I thought I'd get turned off by the second act but it turned out to be quite interesting,

I did like the fact that Trussoni conjured up a fictional idea regarding the myth of angels. Too bad it looked as if she read the Da Vinci Code a seemingly hundred times before styling the story in a similar vein. Thank Goodness there are no giant albino looking self punishing opus dei wannabes... There is a down side though...and it is almost as cringeworthy.

Sad fact is that the movie rights have been sold for the book, which means a horror of a movie is sure to come out soon enough...

I wasn't crazy about the writing style, and it was a bit over the top, but the concept is very interesting. If you're in to different aspects of Christian mythology, this book is probably going to entertain you.

Quite an interesting read. Reminded me at times of The Historian, Angels & Demons and some of the historical fiction novels by Raymond Khoury, so if you liked those books, you'll enjoy this one too. *SPOILER ALERT* Normally I prefer all loose ends tied up, but this time I'm hoping there isn't a sequel

This book was an outstanding read! I'm looking forward to more fiction from Danielle!

I'm not sure whether having a greater knowledge of the Bible (and the angels featured in it) would enhance the experience of the reader. Still, cool idea (although I think the author struggled to fully realise their vision in parts). Could be a good choice for a holiday read, if you're looking for page turner that offers something a bit different.

I am not really sure what I thought of this book. It has certainly stuck with me, in kind of a disturbing way. a number of elements that drove the plot forward were pretty far-fetched (a man sneaks into a nunnery and nobody catches him AND the nun he speaks to just accepts it?? then again, its an unusual place). interesting premise though, and i did like the way she handled the "backstories" of the characters.

an adventure of exquisite spiritual eroticism and the seduction of dark angels

Interesting concept and a promising first effort from this author, but it was so long and the end was so unsatisfying that I didn't enjoy the experience. There could be a sequel, but I don't think I'll care enough to read it.

If you don't mind overwrought prose and are looking for a thriller with lots of arcane biblical references, this may be for you. The reading experience for me was similar to Diane Setterfield's The Thirteenth Tale (another book I didn't like). I was often pulled out of the story because of the OTT language. (Plus a few notable typos, like "choir of angles.") The unresolved ending turned out to be my favourite part of Angelology. It is likely that a sequel will follow, but I've had enough.
