Sneetches is an excellent allegory for all ages. Younger kids will like the silly rhymes, and older kids will appreciate the humanistic message of harmony despite our differences. Read-alike: The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf.

"The Sneetches". "The Zax". "Too Many Daves". "What Was I Scared Of?" Four stories. But my favourite by far is "The Sneetches". A lovely light tale about what is now often called "othering", and the insanity of trying to be something you're not. Should be required reading for, you know, EVERYBODY. Wonderful book. Fun for all the family.

Hard to go wrong with Dr. Seuss. The pants story was my favorite.
