This disappointing BBC series portrays Robin Hood & his band of Merry Men as a bunch of young, inarticulate modern-day punks. Problems include: too cheaply made, too politically correct, too many glaring anachronisms, excessively histrionic villains, too amateurish fight & battle sequences, too deadpan Guy of Gisborne (to the point of rigor mortis), & the Much character is a stronger & better man than the Robin character. For a better version of the same material from British mythology, try the BBC's earlier series, "Robin of Sherwood" (1984-1986, 26 episodes, starring Michael Praed & Jason Connery)--a more inspired & inspiring production all around.
