No less than 5 stars. I mean, yeah, there are a ton of mystery books. Robbery, yeah. Murder, (Kate Brian's Private and Privilege series cover that) yeah. Missing people, yeah. Kidnapping, oh, for sure. But you can't get any more exciting than The Midnight Tunnel. Amazing, you never would have thought who the kidnapper turned out to be! Even I couldn't geuss. But then again, I'm not the kind of detective that Suzanna is. It was also very exciting to read about Mr. Johnston's fortune, and what it had to do with the kidnapping. I never knew such small details could turn out to play such a big part! Like the mermaid statue on the fireplace mantle, or the scrap of scalloped linen on the bush that Suzanna found. Well, okay, I did know that little details counted. (That is thanks to Ally Carter's Heist and Gallagher Girl series. Oh, and also the Castle TV show) But how they were all woven into the mystery was pretty cool. ;) Anyways... 5 stars!
