Do you enjoy Jazz and remember all the great jazz stars? A picture of them all is on the DVD cover of the DVD box. It was taken when so many of the jazz all stars were still with us. I believe the photo was taken for "Life Magazine". It was a "Great Day in Harlem" because although they were jazz giants, many had never met each other. Others hadn't seen each other in years. It was a beautiful homecoming for a group of musicians who usually work the worst hours, late at night. After you watch the film, you now can listen to their music and feel "I saw and heard his or hers voice." The film is a masterpiece and we are fortunate that one copy exists in the KCLS. It is checked out now, but don't let this be a buried treasure any longer. Music fans, get your hands on this DVD. You will laugh, hopefully not cry, and be inspired by both the photographer that arranged the meeting and the jazz all stars. This may be the most historic video that KCLS has in it's catalog. Thanks for reading the above. As always, I would love to hear from you. As of today, August 4, 2014, I am the first and only review of this wonderful DVD. Won't you give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised at its beauty.
