Once again New York City Detective Michael Bennett is in the thick of it. He finds himself as a spotter, more than once actually, in a helicopter as security for a Presidential visit to the United Nations. And then he sees something. Once again, the Russian government is upset but is it planning to go all the way and assassinate the President of the US? Imagine the implications. This is a tale of uncertainties, who is the potential assassin? Who are his handlers? Is the Russian mob in New York involved? At one point a federal adviser says that the Russian mob at home and the Russian government are one and the same. The action comes fast and furious, sometimes the leads are extraneous or diversions, but Bennett keeps going. You'll wonder if you will ever know the meaning of the title. As usual Michael's huge family and Mary Catherine are delightful distractions.
